Note the Railroad tracks that run down the middle of Main St. We get 20-30 CSX freight trains per day.

Now I understand what Junosmom was talking about regarding the trains, once. Great photos, Constable Chuck.

That is quite a dramatic demarcation line.

Is there a "right side" and a "wrong side" of the tracks (besides parking on one side and wanting to visit someone on the other side when a train comes roaring through?

I've never seen train tracks go right down a street like that.

Good grief, trains in the street!!! We seem to have regular accidents over here with folk ignoring the level crossings, and getting wiped out! I take it there must be accidents there as well?

Chuck, I admire a "closed on Sunday" town, except of course when I want to eat at my favorite Irish pub on Sunday. As for Black Friday, not for me. I stayed home and painted. Walls that is.

Ah, love it! That's my view right after quitting time, when I've left work and am on my approach to 1st str. Freedom sweet freedom (from work that is!).

Neat photos of your town. After hearing about the horrors of Black Friday in the US, I wouldn't want to venture out either.
